FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does the stamp work? Where does the stamp live? If Spotify, Apple etc. don’t have a way to show that, is it living on someone’s album artwork? Their website?
The stamp is provided to artists once their music has been verified as human-made and ownership is confirmed on the platform. From there, it appears on the digital artwork accompanying songs where they’re streamed, as well as on physical albums and other artist-owned channels. Longer term, one of our goals is for streaming platforms to adopt this more seamlessly, but for now it gives artists a way to signal authenticity themselves.
What are the percentage scores shown in results?
The displayed scores reflect how confident the tool is in its assessment of uploaded audio. It indicates the level of confidence that a track is human-created or AI-generated. A higher score means the system is more confident in its determination, while a lower score means it is less certain.
How can this movement tell there’s no AI traces in a submitted work?
We're addressing the proliferation of AI music that has zero human composition or involvement in the output. Our model uses highly advanced detection technology to identify fully AI-generated songs and is continuously improving to keep up with the latest iterations of AI generators.
What is the partner you are using to verify whether something is AI Generated? How are you working with them?
We’ve partnered with Pex, a Vobile company, whose technology is trusted across the global music industry to analyze audio at scale. Their advanced machine learning models are designed to identify whether a track is human-created or AI-generated. When a song is submitted, it’s securely analyzed using Pex’s technology, and that insight powers our certification process. We’ve built an end-to-end experience around that foundation — turning cutting-edge audio analysis into something artists and fans can trust and easily verify.
What happens if the tool mis-reads a track as AI that’s actually human?
While the system is designed to be highly accurate, it is not definitive and may occasionally produce false positives or false negatives. If you believe your track has been incorrectly flagged, please contact us at info@jazzisdead.com with your submission details. Our team will review the track and the analysis results, and if appropriate, update the outcome and proceed with certification.
Can I upload single elements of a track in the tool as well? For example drums.
The tool is designed to analyze complete tracks rather than isolated elements. When a piece of audio isn’t a full composition, such as individual stems, loops, or drum patterns, it can be more difficult to accurately assess. For the most reliable results, we recommend uploading a full track or composition
